One more year, IES Puerta Bonita has transformed itself in an audio-visual and graphic "company" to carry out 2012 Production Week. The production week is a set of activities developed in seven school days, in which different teams of work do 21 projects of real production with an absolutely professional dynamics. 250 students of Professional training courses of Audiovisual and Graphic Arts Media take part in these projects, supervised by 25 teachers.
Students and teachers of the department of Graphic Arts have done 6 projects: an edition of the 1812 Spanish Constitution; a paper “The art of Francisco de Goya at the time of the Pepa”; a collection of institutional bookmarks; a paper calendar of 2013; a poster about the timeline of spanish constitutions; and t-shirts and bags of promotion of Vocational Educational Training.
Audiovisual Departament has been done 14 projects: executive production; a short film tittled “Prueba27”; a video-game; a scenic project consisted in a performance of flamenco dance and music; a live music concert open air; a day radio marathon; radio and tv broadcast on the internet; two photographic artistic projects; tv news "SP12"; two projects of audio mastering and mixed of music; 2012 Production Week Making of; and closing ceremony gala.
During Production Week, a series of parallel activities were developed by students of the first year courses. For example the II Edition of the Day of Social Commitment, which included two lectures: “Campaigns of Prevention of drugs in publicity and mass media” by Madrid Health and “Environment and sustainable development” by Ecologists in Action. During this week they did courses in First Aid by SAMUR as well.
Our school has subscribed an agreement of collaboration with one of the most prestigious VET Schools in Graphic and Audio-visual Communication of the Netherlands, the Grafisch Lyceum of Rotterdam (GLR), which is an institution with more than 50 years of history and 3000 students in each academic year and more than 250 teachers.
Practices in Companies
This year 14 students from our center are practicing in several European cities within the Erasmus program and with the support of Xarxa FP network and various European institutions and companies.
Project of Applied Innovation
On March the 28th and the 29th, it was celebrated in the Hotel Beatriz of Toledo the intermediate meeting FPempresa at which more than 200 participants attended. Between other performances, there was constituted the Association FPempresa whose purpose is the diffusion and maintenance of the project. Fpempresa is a project of applied innovation that tries to make a new relationship between centers of vocational training and companies. IES Puerta Bonita takes part in this project.

Project of Applied Innovation
During four days it has taken place in Tarragona the second meeting of Youngsters and Climatic Change, a project of applied innovation with the participation of 4 media school of Spain: IES Pere Martell (Tarragona), IES Nestor Almendros (Sevilla), IES Imaxe e Son (A Coruña), and IES Puerta Bonita (Madrid).
On March the 13th and the 14th, a technological demonstration took place in our school. “Towards a model of the commercial press” was organized by the companies Develop, Reciservi, Comercial Jugavi, PBG, Servicios de Gestión y de Impresión and Mondi. They talked about the following aspects: the model of business, the applied technology, the applications package, systems of finished, machines of postimpression, etc. In the meeting, it could be counted on digital presses of lastIneo+ 6000 and Ineo+ 8000 Develop generation equipped with computer science RIP Efi Fiery and equipment with the necessary applications for the management and impression of archives, as well as equipment for different processes from graphical product binding.
First year Image couse students with their teacher, José Luis Sánchez, visited Buñuel TV Sets of RTVE. In this visit they learned by two of more prestigous professionals of the tv lighting, Mar Molina and José Antonio Merino. They visited different spaces, studies and sets where national tv and radio broadcast (RTVE) programs are recorded like "Parlamento", "Cine de Barrio", "Versión Española".
First year Pre-press course students visited the facilities of the most important pre-press company in Madrid Lucam Fotomecánica. The students covered the facilities and could verify the last innovations about digital press and pre-press.
Second year audiovisual management course students visited the facilities of the one of the most important theater in Madrid "Teatro Español" . The students covered the facilities and could verify the main parts of this prestigous theater: stage, backstage, lightning, etc.
First year printing course students visited the facilities of the prestigious postpress and binding company Gupo Neo. The students covered the facilities and could verify the last innovations on binding technologies.
First year graphic design course students visited the facilities of Artes Gráficas Palermo, a comunication media company specialice in high quality prepress, print and binding, for example, in arts books or gallery catalogue.

Durante la Semana de Producción se realizaron dos proyectos artísticos fotográficos cuyo resultado se ha expuesto en el hall y en la cafetería del IES Puerta Bonita.
Desde el mes de abril José Chuvieco Salinero, profesor del centro, expone en la la primera planta del IES Puerta Bonita .una serie de fotografías llamada "A contraluz". Es un conjunto de imágenes tomadas con la luz solar de frente en las que se relacionan sol, nubes, mar, luz y seres humanos de forma armónica.
URBAN CULTURES FESTIVAL
On Friday May the 4th, it will be celebrated the V edition of the festival of urban culture "Platos Rotos 2012" in our school. This edition of the festival is, for the first time, inside the programming of the FESTIMAD 2012.
I PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST
IES Puerta Bonita has summoned the first Contest of Photography for its explanatory space IN_CUBUS. In this contest all the students of our school could participate. The main objetiv of this activity is to promote creativity and prepare our image students to exhibit publity their works.
The news magazine "Mercados 21" has published a ranking of innovative VET schools in Spain, bearing in mind the number of projects of teaching innovation that are developing at present, being our school in the number 25 out of a list of 400.

Grafisch Lyceum of Rotterdam (GLR) is a professional VET school of the graphic and audiovisual field located in the city of Rotterdam and it founded in 1950. With more than 3500 students proceeding from the whole Holland, it is an innovative institution in the fields of media, graphic design and communication technologies.
GLR is the most important school of this sector in the three countries of the Benelux. It is a charter member of the Europaean Graphics/Media Industries Network (EGIN).
